ECOSOC -   Growing Population of Older Persons in Rural Areas
Older individuals are valuable members of the rural communities that they choose to live out the rest of their lives in. However, living in rural areas can pose certain challenges for older adults that would otherwise not be experienced in an urban area. For example, despite the fact that more older adults live in rural areas, such rural communities provide fewer services for their members than urban communities such as:
Healthcare, Housing Transportation, Civic engagement, Nutrition services, Social services

Historical - The Irish Civil War
The Irish Civil War was the conflict that developed the modern day Republic of Ireland. The conflict came about due to the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty that partitioned the south of Ireland(The Republic of Ireland Today) into the Irish Free State. They were still a part of the British empire through this treaty, this caused many of the members of the Irish Government to separate from the government and for the Anti-Treaty IRA. This in turn caused the members of the government who were in favor of the treaty to form the Pro-Treaty IRA. This pitted the alliances of the Irish War of Independence against each other to form one conflict that tore families and communities apart.

Security Council -  Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons
In a modern world that is becoming more intense and hostile, fear of nuclear escalation is rising. As a consequence of this, the UN Security Council intends to re-examine The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). This treaty was ratified with the goals of preventing more nuclear weapons from being made, share the peaceful benefits of nuclear technology world wide,  and slowly disarming the ones already in circulation. Only five nations are permitted to have nuclear weapons according to this treaty: the P5. At this time, the Security Council recognizes that five different nations do not participate in this treaty, with four of those nations possessing nuclear weapons. In addition, the majority of nuclear weapons are still fully operational and disarmament efforts have progressed slowly at best. The Security Council calls this session to address what it can do in regards to enforcing this treaty.

Crisis - Quadrumvirate- Hong Kong Protests 2019-2020
The ongoing 2019–20 Hong Kong protests, also known as Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement, were triggered by the introduction of the Fugitive Offenders amendment bill by the Hong Kong government. The now aborted bill would have allowed extradition to jurisdictions with which Hong Kong did not have extradition agreements, including mainland China and Taiwan. This led to concerns that Hong Kong residents and visitors would be exposed to the legal system of mainland China, thereby undermining Hong Kong's autonomy and infringing civil liberties. It set off a chain of protest actions that began with a sit-in at the government headquarters on 15 March 2019, a demonstration attended by hundreds of thousands on 9 June 2019, followed by a gathering outside the Legislative Council Complex to stall the bill's second reading on 12 June which escalated into violence that caught the world's attention.
